Allocated and consumed resources in Plesk

If you are subscribed to multiple service plans at the same time, then you have multiple subscriptions. In this article, we will discuss allocated and consumed resources in Plesk to understand your Plesk server resources better.

  1. Access your Plesk control panel through your HostPapa Dashboard
  2. Go to Account

Plesk resource definitions

Disk space: The total amount of disk space allocated to your account (with subscription). This amount includes all data related to your websites, email accounts, applications, backups, and log files.

Traffic: The total amount of data (megabytes) that can be transferred monthly from your websites.

Domains: The number of websites that can have separate second-level domain names, such as example.com.

Subdomains: The number of different websites that can have third-level domain names.

Domain aliases: The number of domain names can be set up to point to one of your sites. 

Mailboxes: The number of mailboxes that can be created under your websites.

Mailbox size: The amount of disk space that a mailbox can occupy.

Total mailboxes quota: The total amount of disk space can be used by all mailboxes under your domains (Note: only on Windows-based customer accounts).

Mailing lists: The total number of mailing lists that can be set up under your websites. Note that these function differently than mail groups. With mailing lists, you can archive and pre-moderate messages, but mail groups can only be used for sending an email to several send recipients.

Additional FTP accounts: The number of FTP accounts that can be set up to access the subscription, in addition to the main FTP account created with your subscription.

Databases (Linux): The number of databases able to be hosted for your websites. Databases organize data storage that allows dynamic websites, web applications and sends email users to store and retrieve information. 

MySQL databases and MS SQL Server databases (Windows): The maximum number of MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases can be created on Plesk database servers and used by your websites.

MySQL databases quota and MS SQL databases quota (Windows): The maximum amount of disk space that MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases can occupy on a subscription.

MS SQL database file size (Windows hosting): The maximum size of a Microsoft SQL Server database file. If a database consists of more than one file, more disk space might be used.

MS SQL database log file size (Windows hosting): The maximum size of a Microsoft SQL Server log file. Note that if a database has more than one log file, more disk space might be used.

Java applications: The number of Java applications in WAR format that you can install on your websites.

Sites published with Presence Builder: The number of sites you can create and publish with Presence Builder.

Web users: The number of user accounts you can create for hosting web pages for other users.

ODBC DSN connections: The number of connections to external databases that you can create for web applications running on your account (only available for Windows-based customer accounts).
